The reigning king of football and all-time great Lionel Messi had once paid a sweet homage to tennis legend Roger Federer, labeling him a "genius."
Roger Federer, a record holder of 20 Grand Slam titles and widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, retired from the sport in 2022. Messi was among the many athletes who expressed their admiration and best wishes for Federer after the tennis icon announced his retirement.
Messi wrote a candid post on Instagram that spoke volumes about how high in regard he held the 'King of Grass'.

The Swiss legend reciprocated Messi's gesture by penning a very emotional letter for the Argentine 'magician' when Messi was voted Times' greatest athlete of all-time, following his World Cup winning campaign with Argentina.
